Licence

Mjolnir is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0. With a licence key, install it on up to five machines you use, and run it on anything you like.

The source is published, and a build you make from it asks for a licence key exactly as the download does: your subscription covers it as one of your five machines. There are three things the licence does not allow: providing Mjolnir to others as a hosted or managed service; moving, changing, disabling or working around the licence key, or removing anything it protects; and removing or obscuring its licensing, copyright or other notices. Everything else a person or a company would normally want to do with software they are using, you may do.

Privacy

Mjolnir talks to your cluster from your machine. Cluster names, context names, namespaces, object names and anything read from a cluster never leave the app.

An account stores an email, and per machine: a name you can edit, the platform, the app version and a last-seen date. That is all of it. Usage telemetry is anonymous, on by default and off in one tap, and never joined to an account.

Payment goes through Paddle, who are the merchant of record. No card number ever reaches us.
